The Ray Nkonyeni Municipality has 20 bathing beaches and 11 are main beaches. It is also significant to mention that 6 of our beaches have Blue Flag Status.

THE FOLLOWING RAY NKONYENI MUNICIPALITY (RNM) BEACHES ARE ALL RECOGNIZED BATHING BEACHES WHICH ARE PROTECTED BY ANTI-SHARK MEASURES AND LIFEGUARDS.

Brief Information

The Ray Nkonyeni Local Municipality (previously Hibiscus Coast and Ezinqoleni Local Municipality) is a Category B municipality situated within the Ugu District in the KwaZulu-Natal Province. It is the largest of four municipalities in the district, making up a third of its geographical area.
