28 November 2017

The Ray Nkonyeni Municipality is proud to announce that the Work Study which commenced at the beginning of 2017 has now been completed and it is our pleasure that the areas which were entasked to the appointed service provider have been covered as required.

This follows a submission of a report by the service provider who commenced his work in the beginning of the year 2017 to assess the state of the municipality. This project came by due to an acknowledgment by the municipal leadership that the municipality has a huge wage-bill and as a result decided to commission an expert to conduct a Work Study in order to fully assess the state of the municipality’s establishment.

The expert was entasked with a responsibility to come up with practical solutions to deal with this challenge without disadvantaging other affected stakeholders relevant to the municipality. Furthermore, as per the submitted report the study focused on issues pertaining to proper practises of developing an organogram, how many departments should the municipality have by judging the scope of work, number of sections in each department, number of employees in each department/section and other human resources aspects.

Once all the structures of the municipality are fully consulted, the details of the outcome of the work study report will be divulged for public consumption.

We are of the view that this work study will be used as a positive tool which will create a viable atmosphere.
